Urtica Dioica ( Stinging Nettle ) and Urtica Urens are the plants belonging to the same family. Urtica Dioica is tall. Urtica Urens is dwarf. For the purpose of phytotherapy, both herbs have similar properties and can be used interchangeably.

Diabetic drugs and Stinging Nettle. The same is true here. As you start taking Stinging Nettle for Diabetes, reduce the other drugs. Monitor the blood sugar. Appropriately increase Stinging Nettle, decrease allopathic drugs to optimize the readings. Administration of both may increase the risk of hypoglycemia (extremely low blood sugar). Stinging Nettle can actually repair your Pancreas.
